Ten of us enjoyed a super snowy walk up at Rhandirmwyn, climbing from the river Tywi up to the old lead mines and forestry. 

The snow was deep in places up the top as we headed to the hill fort for extensive views.  Icy tracks hid deep slush and mud. 

We rescued a pregnant ewe which had turned on her back, but she had already had her eyes pecked by crows. 

After lunch we continued towards Cynghordy then back down a steep bank towards the river again, using wooden steps originally put in by our own members a few years ago. 

A good 9 mile walk for a wintry Sunday, with no rain or sleet until we reached the cars.  Thanks to Beryl the leader and Mike for back marking.
